Spanish Fort Real Estate

Spanish Fort lies on the eastern shoreline of Mobile Bay and has a population of nearly 7,000. Spanish Fort was historically the site of a trading post that was created by the French-occupied Mobile back in 1712. It was during the Revolutionary War after the Spanish had took Mobile and surrounding areas, a “Spanish Fort” was built at the site of the trading post.

In recent years Spanish Fort has seen significant growth. The area had been incorporated in 1993 and since then Spanish Fort has flourished. In 2004 the Eastern Shore Centre, an open shopping mall, had opened adding many new businesses to the area. The town center also features fine retailers such as Kohls, JC Penney and Bass Pro Shops.
